BullerRoo

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the inspiration behind BullerRoo?

The space is influenced by the incredibly scenic views. We designed the living space to take advantage of this with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows – both dining and lounge areas take full advantage of the incredible vista. We also built a rooftop terrace with 360 degree views, which is the perfect place to sink into the bean bag chair and relax in the fresh high country air. We’ve used stone walls and a timber cladded ceilings to create texture and warmth. The cosy atmosphere is enhanced with a cast-iron fireplace – making for a wonderful evening atmosphere with dim lights and the star filled night sky. As the space is designed to be an escape retreat, it was important that we create a modern and functional kitchen, generous bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom with an oversized double shower.

What do guests love most about BullerRoo?

It’s the location. The views and landscape are incredible and we always get complimented on this. Our guests enjoy relaxing on the rooftop deck and soaking it all in. The property is set amongst hundreds of acres of natural bush and farmland. The opportunity to get up and close to nature in such a luxurious setting is something guests truly enjoy.

Hosts

Owners and hosts, Vickie and Ed have a house adjacent to BullerRoo so they’ll likely be there to show you around, help you out and introduce you to the miniature goats, if required. Otherwise, BullerRoo is all yours. A mobile number will be provided for you to use during your stay, should you require after hours assistance.

Meals

Both accommodation spaces are designed with the independent traveller in mind, and are fully self-contained with all cooking facilities. Local sourced, seasonal depending, breakfast options and a cheese & wine hamper are available to pre-order (one weeks notice is required).

Our weather - different in every season

Winter is cold, and sometimes snowy and windy – a lovely experience if it happens for your stay. You can stay warm by the fire (or flick on the ducted heating!) while taking in the snow capped peaks of Mt Buller and Mt Stirling from June to September typically. Spring becomes a lovely green after the cold of winter. While, in Summer, the bright blue skies above the mountains are perfect for a swim in the local snow melt river waters, and in Autumn you will see the striking yellows in the trees.

Heating

Both spaces are extremely warm and cosy! Instructions are provided to help with regulating the heat.
