WHAT'S ON

Regular festivals and events in the region are a big drawcard for guests, with Mansfield, Mt Buller and the surrounding townships always putting on ‘quite the show’! Some of our favourites are the Mansfield High Country Festival over the Melbourne Cup long weekend, and of course, Mt Buller’s yearly ski season opening event. Others to put on your radar:

La Dolce Vita Festival

Each Spring, taste new releases and talk with the winemaker at the cellar door. The region is famed for Prosecco, Pinot Grigio, Arneis, Sangiovese and elegant cool climate wines. Come and discover the Italian spirit of the King Valley’s winemaking families, at La Dolce Vita wine and food festival.

Merrijig Rodeo

Celebrate the region’s country character alongside locals at the annual extravaganza of the Merrijig Rodeo. A fantastic family-oriented APRA associated annual event, held Saturday of the March Labour Day Weekend and is the second event in the Kyabram, Merrijig, Chiltern APRA Tri-Series.

Highlights include: Bareback, Barrel Race, Break Away Roping, Bull Ride, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling and Local Steer Rides.

BullerRoo Easter

The Mountain High Fun Run is held on the Saturday morning, offering distances to suit every runner (or walker) with some of the proceeds being donated to the local Mansfield District Hospital.

In the afternoon enjoy a Seafood & Champagne Soiree with Live Music, spend the afternoon feasting on seafood, sipping champagne & whiskey whilst enjoying some of Melbourne’s best live musicians.

On Easter Sunday wander the Easter Village Market and enjoy the best of our region’s local produce in the Mt Buller Village Square.

The highlight of the weekend is definitely the Giant Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday! This free event sponsored by Rt Edger is fantastic family fun – there are 10,000 eggs hiding on Mt Buller so bring your keen-eyed kids with a taste for chocolate to enjoy finding them!

Hop on up for this fun and free Easter celebration!

Mt Buller Events

Mt Buller also hosts a wide range of events throughout both summer and winter.

With over 300 hectares of skiable terrain, there is something to appeal to all levels of ability. Our runs range from the wide beginner’s slopes of Bourke St and Burnt Hut Spur, to the challenge of our black runs like Chamois.

With 20 lifts, Mt Buller has the largest lift network in Victoria, including thirteen chairlifts (three of which are high speed detachables) two T-bars, two rope tows (counted as one) and three magic carpets. The resort features three Terrain Parks designed for all skill levels, with a dedicated snow grooming team to maintain their condition.
