In 2003, having found their dream property with breathtaking views of the Barwite Valley, to Mansfield and beyond – with its own flowing river – Vickie and Ed knew they would eventually welcome visitors to share and experience this special part of Australia. They have loved the challenge of transforming a 24 acre parcel of beautiful farmland into their own home and tourism accommodation – BullerRoo.
It’s also home to ‘BullerRoo Pygmy Goats’ – a registered miniature Pygmy goat stud farm. Farming with best practice sustainable land management and ethical animal husbandry, Vickie and Ed enjoying to sharing their knowledge and love for their cute and friendly animals, sometimes allowing guests to assist with feeding, and to simply enjoy watching them leaping about in the fields!
Native Wildlife
Australia is known for it's iconic and unique animals, which are high on most tourist's wish list during a visit "Downunder."
The wildlife on and around the property is abundant, from birds and kangaroos, to wombats and even deer. Popular with a variety of native animals and birdlife due to it’s location between the State forest and the Broken river at the bottom of the property, which is inhabited by both brown and rainbow trout. long-necked turtle and the occasional platypus. Fingers crossed you are lucky enough to see one of these when you visit! If you’re really lucky, you might even spot a beautiful wedge-tailed eagle soaring overhead.
BullerRoo Luxury Chalet and Stone Creek Cottage are around 30 metres apart from each other, screened with trees to ensure maximum privacy. It is also an easy walk around the property to spot the animals and take photo opportunities as they arise.
