Wineries & Breweries

There’s no doubt that we are surrounded by some internationally lauded wines.

Delatite Winery
390 Pollards Road, Mansfield

Delatite Winery is an acclaimed family owned, bio-dynamically farmed vineyard and winery located 10 minutes from Mansfield at the base of Victoria’s High Country. Established in 1968 they specialise in cool climate wines, made as naturally as possible and offer wine tasting experiences and cellar door sales, with the best views of the Victorian High Country in the district.

Pizzini Wines
175 King Valley Rd, Whitfield

Pizzini specialise in the production of Italian wine varieties. The family have been growing and making wine from grape varieties including Prosecco, Pinot Grigio, Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Brachetto, Verduzzo and Arneis since the late 1970s.

The King Valley is the perfect region for growing Italian varieties. The shallow, rocky soils on the gently undulating slopes make perfect sites for Italian red varieties. While the more fertile zones along the King Valley floor leading to the King River grow fragrant Brachetto and crisp Prosecco. Pizzini’s cellar door is open seven days. The family also run A Tavola! cooking school and wine experiences.

Dal Zotto
4861 Wangaratta-Whitfield Rd, Whitfield

Otto and Elena Dal Zotto established Dal Zotto Estate in North East Victoria’s King Valley in 1987.  Back then it was a small vineyard planted to chardonnay, merlot and cabernet sauvignon producing a few tonnes of grapes.  These days the family vineyard holdings run close to 200 acres, there is a full winery on site, not to mention the cellar door, Trattoria, kitchen gardens, sweeping lawns running down to the King River and a bocce pitch where regular conquests take place, always with glass in hand.

Otto and Elena’s sons Michael & Christian now own Dal Zotto and have continued to be inspired by and add to the Dal Zotto vision.

Pioneering prosecco in Australia and the King Valley since 1999.

Swiftcrest Distillery
126 Godwills Road, Mansfield

Swiftcrest Distillery is a small farm based distillery and is only open
by pre booked Distillery Tours.

They heat their stills by using deadfall timber to fuel a wood-fired steam boiler and only use the purest, cleanest waters from their natural spring fed from the melting snow of nearby Mt Buller. If words like ‘organic,’ ‘biodynamic,’ ‘sustainable’ and ‘off-grid’ prick your ears (and you love craft vodka and gin), you need to sign up for a distillery tour with Hank and Carrie Thierry.
